How'd you get started working at Family Pawn?
I saw an ad in the newspaper asking if you were interested in a career change. I'm retired from the Air Force so I decided to come and check it out. It's the first time I had even been in a pawn shop. I liked it and I liked the people here...been here ever since.
What's one thing people would be surprised to learn about Family Pawn?
We've been here over 30 years.
What's the coolest thing you've ever seen someone try to sell or pawn?
We actually have it here right now....it's a wooden aircraft propeller from the 1930s.
What's your favorite thing to do outside of work?
Spend time with my wife and baby.
Would you rather chew like a cow or laugh like a goat?
Laugh like a goat! I like to laugh.
If you could own one thing....not have to worry about the expense...what would it be and why?
I would have a great big ranch out West...Colorado or Wyoming...1,000 acres.
If you could eat only one food forever what would it be?
Chicken. Fried chicken. I can eat fried chicken all day long.
Would you rather be confined to your room for one year or go wherever you want but always have to wear a giraffe costume?
I'll take dress in a giraffe costume wherever I go....while I'm laughing like goat! Wouldn't that be an odd combination!
If you could party with any celebrity who would it be?
I'd have to go with Ron Paul. He's so cool. I like his ideas. I think he just seems like a good guy to hang out with.
